dibicarakan dalam rantai makanan, peran organisme ini sangat penting untuk
fungsi keseluruhan bioma taiga. Peran pokok yang mereka lakukan adalah, memecah
bahan organik kompleks organisme mati, memberi makan pada mereka dan juga,
membuat nutrisi yang tersedia untuk produsen. Contohnya adalah beberapa jamur
dan spesies bakteri.
